Privacy policy
This policy covers tesserabooks.in and the pilot request form on it. It is published by Tessera Books, a partnership of Sethu Chandavarapu and Yashwanth Reddy (unincorporated), Manipal Universal Technology Business Incubator (MUTBI), Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Udupi District, Karnataka 576104, India (“Tessera”, “we”). If you become a customer, the data in the files you upload to the Tessera app is handled under your agreement with us, which takes precedence over this page for that data.
What we collect
- What you type into the pilot form: your name, work email, brand or firm, role, monthly order volume, where you sell, and any message.
- Technical details sent with the form: your IP address, browser user agent, the page you sent it from and any campaign tags in the link. We use these only to stop spam and abuse, and to know which page brought you.
The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request and set up a pilot, which is the purpose you consent to when you send the form.
- To keep the form and our systems safe from abuse.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising.
Who sees it
Only the Tessera team. When you send the form, your details are emailed to our company inbox through our email delivery provider, Resend, and may also be stored in the Tessera app, run by our hosting provider on our behalf. These providers process the data only to deliver and store it for us, and may do so outside India. We disclose data to authorities only where Indian law requires it.
How long we keep it
Pilot requests are kept for up to 24 months after our last conversation, then deleted, unless you become a customer or ask us to delete them sooner. Server logs are kept for no longer than 90 days.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, update it or erase it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future contact; it does not undo anything done before. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

We aim to acknowledge requests within 7 days and resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes that affect data you have already given us will be emailed to you.
